Minister Gibson in Parliament regarding budget 2017 amendments

Philipsburg — Parliament passes the budget 2017 amendments with 10 votes for and 0 against.

Today Members of Parliament sat in an urgent plenary public meeting in the General Assembly Chamber of the House of Parliament at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. The Minister of Finance was present for this meeting.

The agenda point was:

Draft National Ordinance to amend the National Ordinance Budget 2017 in connection with changes to the Ordinary Service (IS/252/2017 – 2018 dated December 21, 2017) (ZJ 2017 – 2018 105)

Ontwerp van Landsverordening tot wijziging van de Landsverordening begroting 2017 in verband met wijzigingen van de Gewone Dienst (IS/252/2017-2018 d.d. 21 december 2017) (ZJ 2017-2018-105)

After the deliberations whereby the minister of Finance answered and re-iterated answers to several questions posed by members of Parliament and addressed the comments made, the President of Parliament called for a vote on the aforementioned budget 2017 amendments and there were 10 personal votes for and zero votes against as roll-call voting (‘hoofdelijke stemming’) was requested by MP Rodolphe Samuel.

Members of Parliament, including the President of Parliament, Sarah Wescot-Williams, thanked the minister of Finance, the honourable Richard F. Gibson, Sr., for his work on the budget amendments put to Parliament.
