Good riddance

Dear Editor,

It is never ever a sad day when a monster dies. Fidel Castro, the mass murderer who “sadistically tormented the Cuban people for over fifty years”, died on Friday at the age of 90. Thousands of Cuban exiles understandably celebrated in the streets of Miami. Leftists in the Caribbean and around the world, meanwhile, dutifully mourned their fallen evil communist hero.
So called progressives always grieve when the vicious enforcers of class hatred die. Many useful idiots openly wept in the streets of Paris and other parts of Europe when Stalin and Lenin died. Lenin once said, “If Russia was as communist as France, we would not have had to have the Bolshevik Revolution.”

The death of the evil, murderous, monster, Dictator Fidel Castro has prompted tributes, praise, and reflections from leftist leaders on St. Maarten, the Caribbean, and across the world. Isn’t it ironic that this communist died on “Black Friday”, the biggest capitalist day of the year?

Interesting to note that those Liberals/progressives/socialist/ on St. Maarten who spent the last year calling Donald Trump a fascist are today praising Fidel Castro. You just can’t make this stuff up. No congratulatory message from our government was issued and sent to Donald Trump on him winning the U.S. election. Let’s see what messages of sympathy they now send out to the Cuban government.

While Cubans in Cuba have an average salary of $20 a month and cannot buy enough food to feed their families while he and his family live like kings. A few years ago Forbes magazine estimated Castro’s fortune to be at least 900 million dollars. Many of those who are familiar with the dictator’s business believe that Forbes was too conservative. Fidel lived the life of luxury and ladies while his country starved.

The Cuban dictator ran Cuba like it was his own personal plantation, and the 11 million poor Cubans as his slaves. No one having any sense of compassion for the multitude of victims created by this man should shed a tear.

“Fidel Castro seized power promising to bring freedom and prosperity to Cuba, but his communist regime turned it into an impoverished island prison. Over five decades, millions of Cubans were forced to flee their own country, and those accused of opposing the regime were jailed or killed, said a Cuban exile in Miami.

Newt Gingrich also had a message for the leftist despots on St. Maarten, the Caribbean and around the world when he said this, “Build a list of those praising Castro and you will have a list of leftists who reject reality for an ideological fantasy.”

Leftist Caribbean leaders have embarrassed their nation’s citizens by praising this dead communist Cuban dictator who ran the Cuban economy into the ground, abused human rights, and presided over an authoritarian, totalitarian regime for over five decades. Fidel Castro was simply the poor man’s version of Stalin, Pol Pot, and the guy with the funny haircut in North Korea.

While leftists sob for one of the most evil tyrants of the modern era, those who cherish freedom and human rights are never sad to have one less monster walking the earth. I’ve seen what the followers of Fidel’s communism have done to the people, and economies of Jamaica, Guyana, Suriname, Venezuela, most of the Caribbean and Latin America.

A monster has died — Good riddance to a very evil man.
