TRINIDAD/BARBADOS -- Insurance company Massy United Insurance may be the first victim of the downturn in economy in the insurance sector since the passing of hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. Massy operates in 18 countries throughout the Caribbean. Among others, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Antigua & Barbuda, St. Kitts & Nevis, The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos Islands as well as Dominica. Reports reaching our news desk indicate that Massy has been laying off staff over the past couple of months.
