Simpson Bay — Tuesday March 27th, Axxess Marine formally presented a $10,000 cheque to Sister Regina Primary School during a live interview with Dr. Soc on Island 92 Radio in which company CEO Dennis Fokke discussed Axxess Marine’s commitment to the rebuilding of the island and its passionate support for the team members, associates, friends and colleagues in the yachting industry who call St Maarten home.

Seven months ago, on September 7, 2017, Axxess Marine launched an emergency
relief fund to support the people of St. Maarten after the devastating impact of
Hurricane Irma. Shortly thereafter the company also donated proceeds from their
event held in Monaco, The Axxess Marine Invitational Charity Cycling ride, which
took place September 26, 2017. Axxess Marine’s team members and their families
have been impacted through the loss of their homes and the company’s Caribbean
office was also destroyed. Nevertheless, the team remains passionately committed
to this beautiful island and the efforts to rebuild and recover.

Tony Curwen, Axxess Marine CTO, was on hand for the cheque presentation with
Company Accounts Officer Tricia Roberts Greenaway and Engineer Martijn
Haasdijk. He further reinforced Axxess Marine’s commitment to the area, “We are
proud to support the reconstruction of Sister Regina Primary School in Sint
Maarten. The Axxess Marine team believes that the contribution of $10,000 to the
school will have a great impact on children and families not just through the new
building itself, but through the emotional connections made in the classroom. By
investing in the children’s education and helping them get back to learning again in
a safe, solid and rewarding environment, entire families will reap the benefits. We
are committed to rebuilding a strong foundation for this wonderful island and its
communities, and look forward to a bright future for our company here.”

“The island will be rebuilding for quite a while,” said Axxess Marine COO Andrea
Carmichael. “Our team is passionate about raising money throughout the process.
It’s a time to reflect on the people of St. Maarten, who are there to support our
industry when the yachting season returns each winter. The provisioning offices
and staff, dock masters and crew, restaurants, taxis, varnishers and their families –
without a doubt, their personal lives have been greatly changed and we want to help
in every way we can.”

Axxess Marine specialises in Marine Communications, 3G/4G/LTE, VSAT and SatTV, hardware, antennas and installation for Yachts, Superyachts, Cruise Ships, River Cruise Lines, Commercial Shipping and the Oil Industry, in the Mediterranean,
Europe, Caribbean, US, Canada, Bahamas and beyond.

“I am very happy with this check, with this money we can do a lot for the school and I am sure that all the children are happy. Thank you very much, we have great plans,” said Samantha Beaton, the Principal of the Sister Regina Primary School.
