University’s financial management under fire

Silveria Jacobs on Univeristy of St. Martin 20171108 - HHPHILIPSBURG – Minister Silveria Jacobs (Education) expressed doubts about the University of St. Martin’s (USM) financial management at yesterday’s Council of Ministers press briefing. She has asked SOAB, the government accounting bureau to take a look at the university’s financials.

Jacobs said that the university has “failed to live up to its responsibilities” in terms of accountability and that she has encouraged USM to restart the semester “because the funds that are due to them are coming through.”
