Doran takes authority to issue certificates of conduct away from chief prosecutor

PHILIPSBURG – Shortly before he left office Minister of Justice Jurendy Doran, currently minister of public housing, urban planning, environment and infrastructure (VROMI) issued a decree that revokes the mandate of the Chief Prosecutor for issuing certificates of (good) conduct. The decree sends the authority to issue these certificates back to the minister of justice; currently that is Anna Richardson.

What is the reason for revoking this mandate to the Chief Prosecutor?
