De-risking strategy targets casinos and lottery companies

PHILIPSBURG - The Risk Based Approach banks in St. Maarten and Curacao have developed to get an angle on the risks certain clients represent has resulted in long court battles the banks so far have consistently lost. Attempts to kick casinos out of their portfolio have met every time with the court’s argument that the interest of these clients in having bank accounts outweighs the interest of banks in getting rid of them.
