Rotary Club of St Martin Sunrise donates relief items to 15 Daycare Centers

PHILIPSBURG — The Rotary Club of St Martin Sunrise continues to help with their Island’s Relief Efforts. On Saturday October 14th they donated cases of water, toys and games to 15 daycare centers. This is according to a press release issued on Friday, October 19th, 2017.

The press release states that according to President Damali Bryson, the daycare centers are a group that is in constant need of these essential items and the Rotary Club was only too happy to help. In addition to the daycare centers, Rotary Club of St Martin Sunrise has been actively helping other organizations such as the White and Yellow Cross. This assistance benefitted the residents of the Sint Maarten Home and the Basilia Center as well as the staff whose homes were damaged by hurricane Irma.

President Damali also wanted to thank all those that have been so generous with their aid to the island. However, according to the press release, a special thank you is extended to the Rotary Club of St. Barths who so generously donated 13 pallets to our community. This donation was received by the 5 clubs on St Maarten/St Martin.

In addition, the press release stated, we have been contacted by various persons wanting to help by making financial donations. We would like to list our bank accounts for those wanting to make donations: Windward Island Bank, US$ Account # 21814001, ANG Account # 2183908.

The press release concluded that the Sunrise Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at the Restaurant The Gingerbread Cafe at the Belair Beach Hotel from  7:00AM to 8:00AM.
