UPDATED: Cee Marlin fights illegal occupants of his family’s land
UPDATED VERSION: In an earlier version the article stated that Leroy la Paix lives in a house on the Marlin property for which he does not pay a penny. This is incorrect. La Paix’s mother bought the house back in the seventies; Marlin maintains however that the family is illegally using the land next to the house.
PHILIPSBURG – Vicky’s Keys is a well-hidden hostel in the Keys in Sucker Garden. It is also at the center of a land dispute between the heirs of William Henry Marlin and Victoria Madeleine Marlin-Benjamin, the great-grandparents of Cee Marlin and Leroy La Paix, who occupies a piece of land and a home on land that, Marlin says, rightfully belongs to his family.
