Parliament to meet in sessions on Wednesday, October 11, 2017

Parliament of Sint Maarten logoPHILIPSBURG – The Parliament of Sint Maarten will meet in sessions on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 as follows.

Continuation Plenary Session of Parliament about disaster management and reconstruction following hurricane Irma

The Plenary Session of Parliament will reconvene on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 9.00 am in the Legislative Hall of the House of Parliament at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. This session started on Monday, September 25, 2017 and continued on Thursday, September 28, 2017 and Wednesday, October 4, 2017.

The agenda point is:

State of preparedness hurricane season, Disaster management hurricane Irma, Reconstruction following the devastation by hurricane Irma

Several Ministers will be present for this session to answer the questions posed by Members of Parliament in the second round.

A Central Committee meeting has been set for Wednesday at 2.00 pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg
The agenda points are:
1. Advice regarding the installation and composition of the Permanent and Ad hoc Committees of Parliament
2. Advice regarding the installation and composition of the Committees of the Latin American Parliament (Parlatino)
3. Amendment of article 69 and addition several new articles to the Rules of Order
