#1 Sint Maarten Police Force honors retiring Colleague

On Friday December 29th 2017 the Sint Maarten Police Force took the time out to honor retiring Police Major Willy E. Williams Wiel b.k.a Wilma, who has been a long time veteran of the  force. Major Wiel has spent the last 39 years of her life serving the community of Sint Maarten in various departments within the police. A small ceremony was held at the Philipsburg headquarters honoring Wiel for her service, where she received well wishes from colleagues and also from Chief commissioner Carl John who was in attendance. KPSM wished major Wiel all the best, as she starts a brand new chapter in her life.

#2 Police Force Donates tokens to SMMC kids ward

In order to keep the spirit of the holidays alive the Community police officers inspector’s Felix Richards and Rensley Henson on behalf of the Sint Maarten police force gave out holiday tokens to the entire kids ward of the SMMC. In their role as Santa’s helpers, they were able to bring smiles to many faces. The staff at SMMC were very happy with the gesture and also pitched in to help spread the joy.

#3 Shooting victim arrested

The man identified as E.L who was shot by unknown assailants last week Thursday has since been arrested by police for the possession of an illegal firearm. No further details will be released at this time due to the sensitivity of the case. The investigation is ongoing.
