Possible legionella bacteria in Alegria Resort water supply

~ Home Owners Association asks Minister Lee for inspection ~

PHILIPSBURG – The Caravanserai Home Owners Association (HOA) of the A-building at the Alegria Resort in Beacon Hill has asked Minister Emil Lee (Public Health, Social Development and Labor) for an inspection of the water supply at the resort after Alegria’s management suggested that the water could be infected with the legionella bacteria.

Currently, the HOA and Alegria are entangled in a legal battle over the water and electricity supply to the A-Building. Alegria refuses to do this, saying it is unsafe. The A-building is located on the resort’s grounds but it is not a part of Alegria; the building depends for the supply of utilities however on Alegria. The court will rule on this case on November 29.

Noah Matheu Sheer, the co-chair of the Home Owners Association already addressed the situation at the Alegria Resort in an email to his attorney Willem Nelissen on October 25. A copy of this email was made available to stmaartennews.com.
