Filipino Community supports MLK

MLK schoolDutch Quarter — The Filipino Community of Sint Maarten visited the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Primary (MLK) School on Wednesday morning as part of their Independence celebrations.

“I deeply appreciate the Filipino Community contributing to our school as they celebrate the 120th year of independence of their country” remarked MLK School Manager Stuart Johnson.

The special visit to the Kindergarten classes included brief remarks by the members of the Filipino Community.

Additionally each student received a package of gifts and toys. The toys were donated by ACE and the Filipino Community
“Congratulations to the Filipino Community of St.Maarten on their country’s milestone and thank you for solidifying a long standing working relationship with our school,” Johnson concluded.

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Primary School is a public education school located in the district of Dutch Quarter.
