TelEm Group reports equipment failure Monday, services now restored

Pond Island– TelEm Group telecommunication services to residential and business customers was interrupted Monday afternoon following an unexpected failure of network equipment.

At approximately 3.00 pm Monday afternoon, fixed voice and data services and some mobile services were affected by the equipment malfunction.

Technicians and engineers quickly identified the problem and were able to restore all services two hours later.

The company is continuing to monitor the situation and has in the meantime apologized to customers and the general public for the inconvenience caused.
