Grenada’s NNP Congratulates Emmalin Pierre Following National Leaders’ Debate
From our correspondent
Roseau, Dominica – October 29 2026 — The New National Party (NNP) of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique has congratulated its Political Leader, Hon. Emmalin Pierre, following her success in the event dubbed “Grenada’s Choice 2026: The National Leaders’ Debate,” held on October 28, 2026. The party acknowledged Pierre’s performance during the national political event, which brought leadership perspectives into the public spotlight.
The debate’s organisers have also received commendation from members of the Grenadian public. The Bubb Report, the Media Workers Association of Grenada, Grenada Broadcasting Network (GBN) and the Grenada Conference of Churches were recognised for their roles in coordinating the event. The initiative provided a platform for political leaders to present their positions and engage with issues of national importance.
The debate has also contributed to a wider regional conversation about political accountability and public engagement, with citizens across the Caribbean increasingly voicing support for mandatory debates among political leaders. Advocates of the idea argue that such forums can give voters a clearer opportunity to compare policy proposals, examine leadership priorities and make more informed decisions during elections.
