Princess Cruises Returns. First Four Ship Day for the 2018 Cruise Season on January 11 with over 12,000 pax/crew
PORT ST. MAARTEN – On Thursday, January 11, it will be the first four ship day for the 2018 cruise season. The four cruise ships will have approximately 12,000 passengers and crew onboard.
The vessels that will be calling on Thursday are: Regal Princess (passenger capacity 3,500/crew 1,300), ms Eurodam (passengers 2,100/crew 900), Silver Wind (passengers 294/crew 208) and Anthem of the Seas (passengers 4,500/crew 1600).
January 11 is also Princess Cruises debut since the passing of Hurricane Irma and Maria in September 2017. Princess Cruises returns with one of its newest vessels the Regal Princess that carries over 3,500 guests.
Port St. Maarten Management is looking for to Princess Cruises return and to the first four-ship day for the 2018 season. “With so many cruise lines returning to the destination, it once more demonstrates the commitment of the industry to the island. We also have several more lines scheduled for the coming months.
“Cruise tourism is slowly returning back to its normalcy. The number of vessels are on the increase each month for the high season. The first four-ship day is a very positive sign. We can all be thankful for what has been accomplished over the past months to reach where we are at today. Remember, be courteous to our cruise guests, keep smiling and give them the best service that will keep them coming back for more,” Port St. Maarten Management said on Tuesday.

The most recent additions to the fleet, Majestic Princess, Regal Princess and Royal Princess, introduced a new generation of ships to the fleet in 2013, 2014 and 2017.
