The Special Unit Robbery is presently investigating the armed robbery of Domino Pizza located on Bush road. The robbery took place on Wednesday July 4th at approximately 12.15 a.m. According to the report two armed individuals came into the establishment and while threatening the employees demanded that they turn over the cash. After the undisclosed amount of cash was taken the robbers shot out the glass from the main door and fled the scene on a scooter.

On Sunday July 1st police arrested a man identified with initials S.B. who was driving a light blue car during a routine control. During the control the suspect could not produce the necessary documents for the vehicle or give an acceptable statement who being the rightful owner of the vehicle. He was arrested on the spot and taken to the police station and placed into custody for questioning and further investigation.

On Monday July 2nd 4 persons arriving on a flight originating from Haiti and attempting to travel on Trans Anguilla Airways were arrested by the Alpha-Team operating at the Princes Juliana International Airport. These persons were traveling on false Sint Maarten identification cards while the other two were in the possession of false residence permits. All suspects were taken into custody for questioning and further investigations.

The lifeless body of a juvenile Caribbean Reef Shark was confiscated by the Sint Maarten Nature Foundation after divers reported it on a reef just within the Man of War Shoal Marine Protected Area. The intentional hunting and harming of sharks has been made illegal in Sint Maarten Waters since 2011.
