Philipsburg – Detectives are presently investigating the fatal stabbing of a man on Genip Road in the vicinity of Sunshine Supermarket. The incident took place on Saturday November 18th at approximately 07:40 p.m. Immediately after receiving this call several police patrols, Detectives, Forensic Department and paramedics were sent to the scene to investigate what had taken place. Philipsburg — One man identified with initials F.S. was arrested by police on Saturday November 18th shortly after 06.30 p.m. According to the reports the Emergency Dispatch received a call informing them that a man had fired shots and threatened to shoot someone in the vicinity of Bobby’s Bar on Middle region road. Immediately police patrols were sent to investigate what had taken place. On the scene the investigating officers learned that the suspect was hiding in his home to avoid being arrested by police. WILLEMSTAD – The Court in First Instance acquitted Dr. Emsley Tromp, the former president of the Central bank of Curacao and St. Maarten on Friday completely of intentionally filing incorrect income tax returns. The court ruled that the returns were incorrect but that there is insufficient evidence that Tromp did this intentionally.
