Caribbean Reform Entity has 59 measures in mind

PHILIPSBURG – The Caribbean Reform Entity (CRE) the Kingdom wants to establish in the face of fierce resistance from St. Maarten, Curacao and Aruba, wants to implement 59 measures in areas that cover government and finances, the economy, healthcare, education and the constitutional state. Highlights are the drive to move from direct to indirect taxes and establish a value-added tax system of 12.5 percent and the increase of the retirement age from 65 to 66 in 2023 and to 67 in 2025.
