It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Robert William Whyte, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. Robert passed away peacefully on January 8, 2020, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Colette Cooper, his son Andrew Whyte, his mother Albertine Whyte-Tjin-A-Sioe, his brothers Lucien Whyte and Raimy Whyte, his sister Melinda Van Alstede-Whyte, his mother-in-law Thelma Brunings, his brother-in-law Malcolm Cooper, his cousin Winifred Wadilie-Tjin-A-Sioe, and many relatives and friends who held him dear.
Robert’s warmth, kindness, and generous spirit touched countless lives. He was a man who valued family, friendship, and community, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
A wake was held on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Emerald Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in Curaçao, where family and friends gathered to honor his life.
