GREAT BAY – In late December 2016 the National Public Holiday schedule was published. Please take note of the error regarding Emancipation Day that was mentioned in the 2017 Schedule. The correct date is Saturday July 1 as stipulated in article 23, paragraph 3a of the Labor regulation. Emancipation Day is celebrated annually on July 1 unless that day falls on a Sunday, in which case Emancipation Day is celebrated on the first next business day.
